Working Group: Industry Developments
This working group focusses on the regulatory and political programme that has a direct effect on ITSPA members. ITSPA helps represent the views of the industry to Ofcom, Government departments and industry forums. The members collaborate on consultation responses, actively lobby officials and parliamentarians as well as provide guidance to the wider membership on the implications to the industry. The group is made up of a mixture of regulatory, legal and director level figures within the ITSPA membership.

Working Group: Operations
This working group focusses on initiatives to help keep the industry up to date and in line with best practice standards. The group collaborates on solving industry problems and developing briefing papers and best practice documents to keep the membership one step ahead. The group also deals with technical issues such as communications data retention, emergency location issues and consultations around new industry standards. The group is made up of directors as well technical and operation managers amongst the ITSPA membership.

Working Group: Promotions
This working group focusses on the ITSPA events programme which has become a popular mixture of workshops, dinners and receptions that enable members to network, listen to industry analysis and discuss current hot topics. On average we hold at least five events every year on various topics – details can be found here. This group helps plan the content and approach the necessary speakers to participate. The group also works on developing ITSPA’s PR presence, by preparing press releases, pushing out opportunities for members to contribute to industry publications and seeking promotional opportunities for members at trade shows and events. The members of this group include directors, marketing managers and PR executives within the ITSPA membership.

ITSPA welcomed the launch of GCHQ’s National Cyber Security Centre, opened today by Her Majesty The Queen, and called on the organisation to help combat telephony fraud and protect both businesses and consumers.
